Artista

Aniello Iazzetta nasce alla periferia di Napoli il 16 Aprile 1957 “con il sangue di un artista e l'animo di un angelo custode”. Creativo sin dall'infanzia, si costruisce da solo i suoi giochi: una foto nel suo studio di Cortona lo ritrae all'età di due anni mentre gioca con una sua ingegnosa creazione. Come angelo custode presta servizio in qualità di carabiniere per lungo tempo.

Durante la permanenza nell'Arma conosce Grazia con cui si sposa nel 1982 e dalla quale ha due figli: Valentina nel 1985 e Giacomo nel 1990.

Nel 2003 si congeda dall'Arma, con il grado di brigadiere, dedicandosi come autodidatta allo studio delle ombre ed alla loro raffigurazione in scultura, un'idea che perseguiva da tempo.

Iazzetta si forma nei luoghi di lavoro e non in Accademia, avvicinando anche i segreti di vecchi maestri nelle fonderie.
Nel 2006 partecipa alla corrente “Art for Young” promossa dallo scultore e amico Andrea Roggi; inizia così la sua ascesa nel mondo dell'Arte.

Numerose sono le mostre che ha tenuto nelle più famose località italiane tra cui Cortona, Erice, Capri, Sorrento, Bari e tante altre; riscuotendo, ovunque, apprezzamenti per la sua inconfondibile tecnica “dell'incastro leggero ed aereo della figurazione nella figurazione”.

Nel 2008 e nel 2009 arrivano importanti commesse tra cui la realizzazione di due opere monumentali in Toscana e in Emilia-Romagna.

Negli anni consecutivi 2010, 2011 e 2012 in Lecce riceve i premi Internazionali (“David di Michelangelo”, “Vincent Van Gogh”, “Nettuno”) dall'Associazione Culturale Italia in Arte e tre premi speciali per i Diritti Umani.

Dal 2008 al 2012 organizza mostre sulla “Benemerita” patrocinate dal Comando Generale dell'Arma dei Carabinieri.

Nel 2012 partecipa anche alla Biennale di Roma.

Nel 2013 vince il 2° premio alla mostra internazionale arti visive “Omaggio Gino Severini” - città di Cortona e nel 2014 riceve un premio di merito.

Tra i vari premi conseguiti, il più prestigioso è il riconoscimento dell'Unesco nel 2014, come Membro del Consiglio Internazionale della Danza CID (l'organizzazione ufficiale per tutte le forme di danza in tutti i paesi del Mondo); le sue sculture delle diverse figure danzanti e stili sono state considerate un contributo per la preservazione del patrimonio culturale della danza.

Nel 2015 realizza per la FIN (Federazione Italiana Nuoto) il trofeo “Alberto Castagnetti”.

Scrivono della sua Arte i critici Antonio Carlo Ponti, Gilberto Madioni, l'esperto d'Arte Michele Miulli, l'assessore alla Cultura del Comune di Capri Salvatore Ciuccio e molti altri esperti del settore.

Alcuni dei suoi lavori sono entrati a far parte di collezioni private all'estero.

Artist

Aniello Iazzetta was born in the outskirts of Naples on 16 April 1957 “with the blood of an artist and the soul of a guardian angel”. Creative since his childhood, he used to build his toys himself: a photograph hung in his studio in Cortona shows him at two years of age while he plays with one of his ingenious creations. Like a guardian angel, he served for many years in the Arma dei Carabinieri (Carabinieri Corps).

During his years in the Carabinieri Corps, he met Grazia, whom he married in 1982 and with whom he had two children: Valentina, in 1985, and Giacomo, in 1990.

In 2003, he left the Carabinieri Corps as a ‘brigadiere’, going on to studying shadows and their representation in sculpture as an autodidact, an idea that he had had for a long time.

Iazzetta developed his skills in workshops and not in art academies, learning the secrets of the masters of foundries.

In 2006, he became a member of the movement “Art for Young”, promoted by the sculptor and friend Andrea Roggi: this way, his rise in the world of Art had started.

Iazzetta has held numerous exhibitions in some of the most famous Italian locations, such as Cortona, Erice, Capri, Sorrento, Bari, and many others, always praised for his unique technique based on a “light and airy framing of the representation in the representation”.

In 2008 and 2009, he obtained important commissions: he was asked to create monumental works in Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna.

In 2010, 2011, and 2012, in Lecce, he was honored with international awards - “David di Michelangelo”, “Vincent Van Gogh”, and “Nettuno” - awarded by the Associazione Culturale Italia in Arte; he also received three special awards for Human Rights.

From 2008 to 2012, Iazzetta organized exhibitions sponsored by the Commander General of the Carabinieri Force.

In 2012, he participated in the Biennale in Rome.

In 2013, he won second prize at the International Exhibition of Visual Arts “Omaggio Gino Severini” - City of Cortona; in 2014, he also received an Award for Merit.

Of the prizes he has received so far, the most prestigious one is the recognition by UNESCO as a Member of the International Dance Council (the official umbrella organization for all forms of dance in all countries of the world) in 2014. His sculptures representing dancing figures and different forms of dance were considered a tribute to the preservation of dance cultural heritage.

In 2015, he realized the trophy “Alberto Castagnetti” for the Italian Swimming Federation, FIN (Federazione Italiana Nuoto).

Art critics, such as Antonio Carlo Ponti, Gilberto Madioni, and Michele Miulli, have written about Iazzetta’s Art.

Some of his works are now part of private collections abroad. His permanent exhibition can be visited at his studio in Cortona.
